Nov 2009

We had a great Thanksgiving . We had Darren come home for a week from BYUI. It was so good to see him. He got to spend time with us and Natalie, of course he couldn't wait to see Natalie. They we will married soon. We can't wait. It has been a long time for them to be apart and date long distance, but I think it has made their relationship grow stronger. We know that is great. We got to play a lot of games with everyone. It was fun to talk and visit. The boys played tag football on Thanksgiving and everyone got really sore. We went to the temple the day after Thanksgiving and got to do some family names. That was really fun. Of course many went shopping for deals and got items. I am a bummer and didn't get to go. I felt my back wouldn't cope with the crowds. I love to go the day after thanksgiving and I miss it. Not everyone not to come for thanksgiving because of going out of town , we missed them. We did have fun with those that were here. We love to play games , watch video, and talk. We are also getting ready for the wedding. We do have family coming for the event. We can't wait. Glades parents are coming and many others. We are excited about the fun event.

We have been really busy with lots of things going on these last few months. We have had Birthdays, P arties plus Jeff and Sheila living with us for a while while they were getting a house. We went to Snowbird and Idaho for reunions. Then in Sept I went to Aubie wedding and visited with my family. I haven't been feeling well so I decided to get surgery in Jan. I hope it helps me. Sheila and Jeff got into their house about two weeks ago. They are doing great and loving their house. We really loved them living with us and we will miss the kids and them, but they only live 15 minutes away so that is great. We have the wedding coming up for Darren so It all keeps us busy. I need to get on all of it more. I haven't been able to do a lot because of my back so I have a hard time just doing laundry and cooking, Glade has taken over cooking. The little things are so hard to do, I will need lots of help. Everyone helps a lot. I have to rest to much for me. I have been lucky to have good family and friends to help. Laying around a lot gets old. I keep saying count my blessings. I have found being sick is harder than you like, It is hard to think of others when you feel so bad. It consumes you. I am so glad I have the gospel or I could never do it. It helps to put your priorities in the right place. I say helping others makes you think less about your own problems. So I go help others more and it helps.

Darren Engaged

Darren got engaged to Natalie Rackham in July 2009. They plan to be married Dec. 19 in the Oakland temple. We are so excited for them. She is from Virginia but lives in Hughson ,Calif. She moved here two yrs ago but they met at the singles branch here in Modesto. The single branches combined from Turlock singles Branch and ours in January. Darren will graduate in April. They plan to move where Darren has to do his student teaching in Jan. in Arizona, then he will be done in April. It is perfect timing for them. She is really sweet and nice. She is 25 yrs old and Darren is 25 yrs old right now he will be 26 in Dec. before they get married. They are about 6 months apart or so. I can't remember exact. We are so thrilled for them both. We look forward to the wedding.

Snowbird and Capell Reunion 2009

We went to Snowbird , Utah the end of July- first of Aug. We had a great time. We were able to have Darren and Josh meet us up there. BYUI just got out in time for snowbird. On the way to snowbird Glade, Brad and I stopped at Sheldon, and Suzanne's , Glade's brother to spend the night. We were so glad that they had a bed to sleep on. We had fun visiting. Also we went with Sheldon and Suzanne , Cynthia and Raymond's, Glades brother for Dinner together. We went to Chili's. We thought it would be good to get together for a visit. We got up to snowbird about 10pm. Darren, Josh and Brad went up at 5pm. On Sunday we had our Walker Dinner at the Westmoreland's room and also the church service up in the cannon. Sunday night we had Diana talk about her mission homecoming. It was really fun to her talk about Paraguay. Monday we all went to the pool's , video games ,movies and Bingo. We had a BBQ with the Walker family too. After who ever wanted went to a Bee's baseball game in Salt Lake City, Utah. Tuesday we went on a Hike to Donate Falls. It was beautiful. Then that night we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple for the Open house. It is an one is a million experience. It was beautiful. Glade felt for Idaho to visit his parents more. Wednesday we went to a baby shower for Amy. Michelle, and Andrea . After those that wanted went camping. It was by the river right by snowbird. Josh, Darren and Brad went and goofed of but came back to sleep. Thursday we went to the snowbird center. We also hang out and played games and swam. We had to leave about 5:30 pm to go to Idaho. We got to grandma and grandpa Capell's that night . Friday we hang out and visited family and the kids played video game and board games. Actually the kids did a lot of that at Snowbird to with cousins. It is a major thing to do there. Saturday we went to the reunion for the Capell's. It was so good to see all of every one's families. We ate ,played games and basketball at the reunion. We loved visiting Grandma ,Grandpa Capell and all. We decided we needed to leave after the reunion to go to California so Darren could get back for a family picture with Natalie's family. Plus Glade needed to be able to sleep before work Sunday night. Natalie took out her endowments at the Oakland Temple Tuesday . We got to meet her parents and talk about the Wedding. It was really fun. So here we are up to today. We have been sick Glade and I on our vacation . We both got some virus and haven't been feeling well. We are doing better now. This week after vacation we both have been trying to recuperate from the trip and sickness. All and all we had a great trip. We love vacations.
